Fingerprint analysis for personal identification is well known and is unique to all individuals and remains the same for a lifetime. The hand has become a powerful tool in the diagnosis of psychological, medical, genetic conditions. Dentistry is no exception has number of diseases which can be diagnosed using the study of finger prints described as dermatoglyphics. The present review describes peculiar changes in dental diseases and gives an insight to the supporting literature.Downloads
